In the early morning of Monday August 25th Princeton Junction and West Windsor Volunteer Fire Fighters responded to a fully involved apartment fire at 305 Trinity Court in the Canal Pointe development. Initial reports were a fire on the balcony of the third floor. Chief 44 arrived on location reporting fire showing third floor and extending to the roof, and he entered the building with West Windsor Police officers to evacuate residents. Crews quickly established a water supply and began master stream operations. Once the bulk of the fire was knocked down crews began an interior attack and checked for extension. The fire was under control in roughly 45 minutes. Crews remained on scene for several hours checking for extension and assisting with the investigation.

Companies that responded included Princeton Junction Station 44, West Windsor Station 43, Plainsboro Station 49, Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad 168, The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office, and West Windsor Police.
