Serious Motor Vehicle Accident

On Friday, June 12, both township fire companies were dispatched to the 800 block of Village Rd for a 2 car motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment.  First arriving units reported a 2 car accident with both drivers entrapped in the vehicles.

Engine 43-1 arrived and went to work stabilizing and extricating the driver in the first vehicle.  Rescue 44 arriving shortly after and went to work extricating the driver in the second vehicle.  Multiple BLS ambulances along with an ALS unit assessed patient injuries and prepared to continue treatment and transport to the hospital following their removal from the vehicles. Fire units worked quickly and extricated the patients and turned them over to EMS companies for packaging and transport.

All units were recalled shortly after rescue duties were performed, with the exception of Engine 43-1 which remained on scene during the police investigation.

Companies that responded included Princeton Junction Fire Company, West Windsor Fire Company, West Windsor Emergency Services, Princeton First Aid, Lawrence Fire Aid, RWJ EMS, Capitol Health Systems Paramedics, West Windsor Police and the Mercer County Prosecutors Office.
