A Long Night For Princeton Junction Volunteers

In the early morning hours of September 1, 2007, West Windsor Fire Company and Princeton Junction Fire Company volunteers called to duty. Fire companies were dispatched at 2:58 AM to a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment in front of 244 Cranbury Road.

Rescue 44 responded at 3:04 AM commanded by Ff. Bill Manuel, driven by Driver/Operator Dennis McClenahan, with a crew that included Ff. Michael Hornsby and Ff. Cindy McClenahan.

Assistant Chief 44 (Terzian) arrived on location at 3:04 AM reporting a single vehicle accident, vehicle vs. tree and confirmed all occupants out of the vehicle. Chief 44 (Huber) arrived on location at 3:04 AM and held the assignment to Rescue 44 to provide lighting at the accident scene. Rescue 44 arrived on location at 3:08 AM and set up lighting for the police to perform their investigation.

Units remained on scene until 6:14 AM as the sun was rising and the police department and prosecutors office completed the accident investigation.
